Ashley Talbot

Ashley is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a Certified Career Development Practitioner and a Certified Professional Life Coach. Ashley is seeing clients virtually (video and phone appointments) to anyone in Ontario for counselling services.  

About Ashley 

Ashley approaches her work with clients through a trauma-informed lens, helping them find meaningful ways to live their best lives. She places a strong emphasis on building a connection with her clients and facilitating human change. Ashley strives to help her clients develop lifelong healthy habits and optimal coping skills that can serve them well beyond their time working together.

 

Ashley's background in business, psychology, and coaching has driven her passion for developing interpersonal relationships and helping others. With over a decade of experience in Human Resources and Career Development, she has gained expertise in employment, career retraining, and multi-service not-for-profit sectors. In career development, Ashley has helped a diverse range of clients, including post-secondary students navigating their future to executives wanting to make a change. Her focus was on helping clients find happiness in their work and guiding them toward identifying fulfilling career paths.

 

For the past six years, she worked as a coach in the wellness industry. Ashley supported individuals, couples, and groups to identify goals and develop tailored plans to achieve them. Moreover, she facilitated a fitness group for postpartum mothers, which she co-created and developed into a supportive community of postpartum women. Ashley's philosophy has always been rooted in positive psychology, body positivity, and HAES® (Healthy at Every Size), highlighting client strengths, and helping them discover opportunities to build resilience. Her goal is to help clients create a better plan, a better future, and a better life.

 

Ashley has worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds including minority groups and the LGBTQ2+ community. Ashley’s approach is grounded in cultural humility and awareness as she recognizes the unique challenges and experiences of every client. She strives to create a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
