More About Lauren

Growing up is complicated, and for many young people, it can feel confusing, lonely, or overwhelming. Whether it’s anxiety that won’t let up, struggles with identity and self-esteem, or simply feeling different from everyone else, Lauren creates a space where kids, teens, and young adults can feel truly seen and supported.

Lauren (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering in-person sessions in Burlington, Ontario and virtual therapy across the province. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD/AuDHD, and identity development. Her approach is gentle, inclusive, and affirming, helping clients feel safe to show up exactly as they are.

Lauren’s experience includes clinical training at the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. She draws from a wide range of therapeutic tools—CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Art Therapy, and more—to tailor each session to the individual in front of her. Whether she’s working with a child through play, a teen struggling with social anxiety, or a young adult sorting through big life questions, Lauren brings warmth, curiosity, and deep care into the room.

As a queer-affirming therapist, Lauren offers a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults to explore their experiences without fear of judgment. She is especially passionate about helping clients navigate identity, self-worth, and body image concerns—guiding them toward a stronger sense of self and greater emotional resilience.

Her clients often describe feeling both validated and empowered in sessions, like they’re finally able to breathe a little easier. Lauren’s goal is to create a space where every person feels accepted, understood, and supported in becoming more fully themselves.
