Healing doesn’t always look like a straight line, and sometimes, just making it through the day can feel like a victory. Whether you’re struggling with your relationship with food, trying to make sense of trauma, or supporting a loved one through emotional pain, Katie offers a calm, steady space where you don’t have to face it alone.
Katie Witten is a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Counselling Therapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor who provides virtual individual and family therapy for youth and adults. She has over four years of experience supporting clients through some of life’s most difficult moments, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, PTSD, and significant life transitions. Many of Katie’s clients arrive in therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck, or unsure how to move forward—and she’s here to help them reconnect with their strength, clarity, and sense of self.
Katie brings a compassionate, person-centred approach to therapy, grounded in deep empathy and curiosity. Her clients often describe her as warm, non-judgmental, and easy to talk to. She understands that every person is made up of many parts—some of which have worked hard to protect them, even if those parts feel like they’re getting in the way now. Katie works collaboratively to explore those inner dynamics, helping clients build insight, self-compassion, and emotional regulation along the way.
Katie is especially skilled in supporting clients with complex and co-occurring concerns, such as eating disorders and suicidality. She holds specialized training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Family-Based Therapy (FBT/Maudsley), suicide risk assessment and intervention, and parts work (IFS). She integrates modalities such as CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and EFT to tailor her care to each client’s unique journey and needs.
Whether you’re a young person navigating anxiety, a parent supporting a child through disordered eating, or an adult working through trauma or grief, Katie creates a space where healing feels possible and where you’re met with kindness, clarity, and deep support.
