More About Cassandra

Sometimes life can feel harder than it looks from the outside. You may be a young person dealing with anxiety, big emotions, or trying to figure out where you fit and who you want to be. You may be a parent who is worried about your child and unsure how to help. Or your family may be going through a difficult stretch and struggling to find a way through together. Whether the challenge is anxiety, overwhelming emotions, conflict at home, or simply feeling stuck, you do not have to navigate it alone.

Cassandra brings a genuine, calm, and approachable presence to therapy. She knows that opening up to someone new can feel uncomfortable, so she takes time to get to know the person beyond what brought them to counselling, including what matters to them, the relationships that are important in their life, and what they hope will change. Her approach is collaborative and flexible, with a balance of support, practical strategies, education, and gentle challenge. With children and teens, Cassandra also brings playfulness and humour into sessions when it helps them feel more comfortable being themselves.

Cassandra believes therapy should help you better understand what is happening while also giving you practical ways to move forward. Together, you may work on understanding anxiety, managing big emotions, building confidence, navigating relationships and family challenges, or feeling more in control when life changes. She regularly checks in on goals and progress so that therapy continues to feel relevant and helpful, with the hope that clients leave feeling more confident in themselves and better able to handle the challenges that come their way.

Cassandra has spent years working alongside children, youth, and families through some of life’s hardest stretches, including in child welfare, where she came to deeply understand what it means to truly show up for someone during their most difficult moments. That experience informs everything about the way she works. She brings genuine care, patience, and a grounded presence to every session, and feels honoured to walk alongside her clients as they work toward feeling more confident, connected, and at ease in their lives.
